Menu pages that turn "near me" searches into booked tables

A PDF menu is a missed opportunity. Here is how to build a restaurant menu page that search engines can read and diners actually use.

"Tacos near me", "brunch open now", "gluten free pizza": diners search for dishes, not restaurant names. If your menu only lives in a PDF or a photo, search engines cannot read it, and you miss those searches.

Put the menu in real text

List dishes as text on a dedicated page, grouped under clear headings (Starters, Mains, Desserts). Include short descriptions with the words people search for: "wood-fired", "vegan", "house-made".

Mark dietary options clearly

Label vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes in words, not just icons. It helps diners filter quickly and helps search engines match dietary searches.

Keep prices and hours current

Out-of-date prices are one of the most common complaints in restaurant reviews. Update the page and your Business Profile menu at the same time.

Make booking one tap away

Put a reservation or order button at the top of the menu page and repeat it at the bottom. Phone numbers should be tap-to-call on mobile.
